All international applicants who wish to pursue higher education overseas are eligible to apply for Horatio Alger Scholarships 2023–2024 in the United States. Now accepting applications from undergraduate students who desire to complete their degrees are fully financed scholarships. The following will be awarded to the American recipient of the 2023 Horatio Alger Scholarship:
- Award 106 students $25,000 each for four years of undergraduate study at any college in the United States.
Application Requirements
The applicant must meet each of the conditions outlined below in order to be eligible for the Horatio Alger Scholarship:
- A needed language is English.
- Qualifying countries are: the USA
- Currently enrolled as a full-time senior in a US high school, anticipate graduating in the spring or summer of 2020, and plan to enroll in an American university no later than the fall after graduation.
- Your honest desire to enroll in and complete a bachelor’s degree program at a non-profit, accredited university in the United States should be able to be confirmed (students may begin their studies at a two-year college and then transfer to a four-year institution).
- A household must have an adjusted gross income of $55,000 or less in order to demonstrate a significant financial need.
- Participate in extracurriculars and volunteer work.
- Show tenacity and integrity.

How to Apply Horatio Alger Scholarships
National Scholars are provided with all-expenses-paid travel to Washington, D.C., during the spring of their senior year to attend the National Scholars Conference.
