Candidates must show that they have the academic and professional knowledge and abilities necessary to successfully complete the Texas Wesleyan University CRNA program:

1. Nursing Background and License

2. Test Scores and Education

  • A bachelor’s degree from an institution or university that is properly accredited
  • Your nursing degree must have included clinicals and come from a university that uses a traditional grading system because this is a competitive program.
  • Verbal and quantitative GRE scores with a cumulative score of 300 are strongly encouraged (Reporting code: 6828)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher (Overall or last 60 hours)
  • 3.0 or better in science is strongly preferred.
  • Within three years of the program’s start date, complete a college-level chemistry course (no lab necessary) with a grade of B or higher.
  • By June 1 of the year you begin the program, send your transcript.
  • The college suggests Organic Chemistry or higher.
  • Chemistry for introduction or science minors is not accepted.
  • Obtain a B- or better in a college-level math course.
  • By June 1 of the year you begin the program, send your transcript.

  3. Acceptance letters will be delivered between January 30 and February 15.
