Bud Sanders Memorial Scholarship US 2022

The Bud Sanders Memorial Scholarship provides educational support to amputees or immediate family members of amputees residing within the footprints of the Midwestern Amputee Golf Association (MWAGA). The MWAGA footprint includes; Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate programme in the US.

  • LEVEL: Undergraduate
  • DEADLINE: Opens from summer 2022 to August 13, 2022.
  • FUNDING: $500 each to 2 students, renewable for 4years.

Eligibility for the Bud Sanders Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible, applicant must be;

  1. An amputee within the MWAGA footprint. (Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska). Or be the immediate family member of an amputee (the applicant is the child, grandchild, adopted child, brother, sister, mother, father, or grandparent).
  2. Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  3. Enrolled as a full-time student, at an accredited College or University within the MWAGA footprint  (Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska).
  4. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Eligibility for the Bud Sanders Memorial Scholarship

  • An award of $500 renewable scholarship for 4 years to 2 students. This is as long as the scholarship award winners continue their education and confirm with the MWAGA board each year with a letter and copy of their current transcripts.
