Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship

Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship is designed for international students aspiring to pursue or currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. The program is applicable to all the doctorate programs at the University of Warwick.

  • Applicants for a Chancellor’s International Scholarship must also be applying for a PhD at the University of Warwick to begin in October 2022;
  • Students currently enrolled on a PhD or MPhil/PhD at the University of Warwick may apply in their first year of registration only;
  • Applicants must be assessed as ‘overseas’ for fees purposes, but there are no other nationality criteria;
  • Applicants may be from any discipline at Warwick.

Scholarships cannot be deferred to the next academic year.

Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship is for the applicants applying for a Ph.D., irrespective of their discipline, for the Autumn 2022 term. The grant covers the payment of tuition fees and also provides maintenance stipend to the for full-time applicants.

  • The scholarship will cover full payment of tuition fees up to £24,010.

  • The awardee will also be provided with provisional maintenance of £15,239 to full-time holders.
  • The length of funding is 3.5 years. but if you have already started the first year of study, the funding duration will be reduced accordingly.
  • The scholarship is provided to overseas applicants and no particular nationalities.

How to Apply for Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship:

The university has specific guidelines for the application procedure for Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship.

Once the applicants have received conditional/unconditional offer of admission to the University of Warwick, they must complete their applications for the scholarship program.

The step-by-step application process for Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship is given below:

  1. Read the Chancellor’s International Scholarship guidelines notes for applicants.
  2. Start your Warwick Scholarship application form.
  3. Submit the application before 25 January 2022..

Applicants must note that the scholarship form consists of three questions, which each applicant must answer. The questions are:

  • Describe yourself in 300 words.
    • Do mention your publications and if you have received any accolades for the same.
    • This may cover your academic progress, your skills, strengths and expertise, and also about the professional journey you had while pursuing the subject
  • Explain your project and engagement with the subject in 300 words.
    • In this, you must highlight your interest in the chosen subject area for the research.
    • You must include your inspiration/influence and previous works.
  • Summary of the research project in 500 words.
    • Focus on the outline of your research project, your plan of action, time period, etc

In order to apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarships you must first apply for PhD admission, by 13 January 2022 at the very latest. Once you have submitted your admissions application you will then receive an automated e-mail giving you your 7 digit student ID number and instructions on registering your ITS applicant account, which you must complete. This can take up to 48 hours to come through. This username and password can then be used to apply for the scholarships. You do not need to have received an offer of study by the scholarship application deadline, just to have applied for admission.
