University of Sydney scholarship 2022

University of Sydney Scholarship 2022-2023 is a fully funded masters and PhD scholarship for international students. This scholarship cover both tuition fees and living allowance.

The scholarships are targeted mainly for international students who are postgraduate research students with high academic records.

Details of the University of Sydney scholarship

  •  LEVEL: Postgraduate (Masters, Doctoral, Postdocs)
  •  DEADLINE: Open all year Round but only available for both the March (Research Period 2) and July (Research Period 3).
  •  FUNDING: $40,000.

Eligibility

Candidates willing to apply must comply with the following:

  1. Be an international student commencing full time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at this University. Students may also be considered up until they have consumed a maximum of six months of course candidature.
  2. Not have held an Australia Award scholarship within two years prior to commencing the RTP Fee Scholarship.
  3. Be a student undertaking study in a subject area identified by the University as within the areas of its current and emerging research strengths.
  4. Not hold a research qualification regarded to be equivalent to an Australian Research Doctorate degree, or, if undertaking a Research Master’s degree, not hold a research qualification regarded to be equivalent to or higher than an Australian Research Master’s degree.
  5. Candidate must not be receiving a scholarship for which course tuition is a component under any other scholarship scheme to which the Australian Government makes a substantial contribution.
  6. Interested Applicants must not have previously received an RTP Fee Scholarship, unless the previous scholarship was for a Master by Research degree that you have completed and you are now applying for a doctorate research degree.
  7. Candidate must not have previously considered for the scholarship up to 3 times within the last 5 years.

  • An initial research proposal. In no more than 2000 words demonstrate how your research experience aligns with the supervisor’s and why you’re interested in this opportunity. You’ll need to tailor your research proposal to each opportunity you enquire about.

Application for the University of Sydney Fully Funded Scholarships is done online. Candidates interested in the scholarship should first think of applying for admission into the university.

There won’t be any separate form for the scholarship application, to be considered for the scholarship you must submit an application for admission to your research degree.

  • How your proposed research project aligns. with their background and experience.
