University of Maine scholarship

The University of Maine Scholarship for International Students has commenced applications for interested and qualified candidates willing to study in the USA. The University is one of the 380 best colleges nationwide, and for a second consecutive year, the only public university in Maine to be profiled by Princeton Review in its annual guide.

All international undergraduate students that apply to the University of Southern Maine will automatically be considered for Academic Merit-Based Scholarships.  If the student meets the academic criteria they will be awarded a merit-based scholarship at the time of admission. This means that students will find out right away if they will receive a scholarship from USM and it also means that more students will receive scholarships.

The University of Maine Postgraduate Scholarships are offered to Masters, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral Research Assistantships  for international students to expand their knowledge and experience in research. However,The University cover the full tuition fees as well provide an annual stipend of $25,334.

They are also seeking qualified applicants for a Ph.D. position that will focus on the migration ecology of American woodcock.  As a component of their dissertation research, the student will coordinate a large-scale collaborative research project that seeks to better understand woodcock migration throughout eastern North America.

Eligibility of University of Maine scholarship:

• Candidates applying for (ISC)² Undergraduate Scholarships 2022 must either be studying or plan to study a degree with importance on cybersecurity or information assurance.
• Students in senior high school must apply for (ISC)² Graduate Scholarship if appropriate.
• Undergraduate students i.e juniors, freshmen or sophomores are eligible to apply.
• Applicants can be citizens of any country attending full time or part time courses/programs in campus mode or online mode.
• Applicants may be attending either internationally or in the US.
• Candidates need not be enrolled currently but the awards will not be disbursed unless they are enrolled in a university or college.
• Passion, merit, financial need are the factors based on which the score will be done.

Benefits of University of Maine scholarship:

• Salary: $23,000 per year (2 years) will be paid through Research Assistantship. Tuition and half of health insurance will be covered by the project. There may also be an opportunity for one or two semesters of Teaching Assistantship support.
