The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers this grant to attract candidates with demonstrated leadership and academic excellence. To remain eligible for this scholarship, all students must maintain a 3.0 UGA GPA throughout their academic careers.

Additionally, 40 to 45 students earn a $3,000 grant annually. This is combined with the Zell Miller/HOPE scholarship for Georgia residents, and a Presidential Waiver of out-of-state fees is provided for non-resident students. c. Bernard Ramsey Honorarium Award

The Bernard Ramsey Honors Scholarships typically award only 25 to 30 new students. To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.9 and a minimum combined SAT I score of 2110, a new SAT (SAT-R) score of 1460, or an ACT score of 33.

Applicants must also have a high academic record and a history of achievement and leadership in extracurricular activities.

Candidates that are successful will receive the following:

  • Annual stipend: $6,160 plus the Zell Miller Scholarship (currently worth $9,552 per year) and a first-year housing supplement of $614 for Georgia residents.
  • Non-resident students receive an annual stipend of $10,160 plus a Presidential waiver (currently worth $18,574 per year) and a first-year housing bonus of $1,228.
  • Four domestic spring break service excursions, individual travel-study grants of $3,000, a seminar, book discussions, and mentoring are just a few of the many benefits of this program.

However, the Bernard Ramsey Honors Scholarships will only be considered for candidates who have applied for the Foundation Fellowship.

d. One University Of Georgia Scholarships

This typically consists of 35 to 40 new student scholarships. However, applicants must be academically proficient and contribute to UGA’s diversity in accordance with the university’s expansive understanding of diversity.

Open to first-year students, the Georgia Commitment Scholars Program is a need-based scholarship program. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years and includes a number of initiatives and services designed to promote student achievement.
