Details of the Schulich Leader Scholarship:

• Level: Undergraduates.
• Deadline: January 26 – February 16 2022.
• Funding: $100,000 each selected applicant.
• Eligible Nationalities: Canadians only.
• Type of Study: Full-Time Course
• Country: Canada.
• University: Any accredited University in the Canada.
• Field of Study: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
• Duration of the Schulich Leader Scholarship: A year tuition fee.

Eligibility of the Schulich Leader Scholarship:

• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada who is graduating from a Canadian high school, secondary school, or CEGEP in the 2021/2022 academic year.
• Be nominated by your high school, secondary school, or CEGEP.
• Meet the following criteria:
• Academic excellence; and
• Leadership, charisma, and creativity.
• Be entrepreneurial-minded and intend to pursue a career in one or more of the focus areas of technology, engineering, entrepreneurship and business enterprise, and applied scientific research.
• Not be pursuing a career as a practicing physician and/or medical researcher (e.g., doctor, dentist, nurse, psychologist, pharmacist, optometrist, etc), and not intend to become a professor and conduct theoretical research.
• Not be focusing on activism (i.e., environmental, political, or societal).

Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.

Benefits of the Schulich Leader Scholarship:

• Schulich Leader Scholarships in Engineering are valued at $100,000. Recipients will receive annual payments of $25,000 over a period of four years if all renewal criteria are met.
• Schulich Leader Scholarships in STEM faculties outside of Engineering are valued at $80,000. Recipients will receive annual payments of $20,000 over a period of four years if all renewal criteria are met.

How to Apply for the Schulich Leader Scholarship:

High school, secondary school, or CEGEP students in their final year of study are eligible to be selected by their respective schools as Schulich Leader nominees. High schools may nominate one student per year; CEGEPs may nominate up to four students.

The 2022/23 Schulich Leaders nomination period closes on January 26, 2022 in Canada.

Nominees must submit a separate online Schulich Leader application by February 16, 2022. A link to this application will be emailed by representatives from the Schulich Leader Scholarships office. All letters of reference must be completed and received by the same date.
