These bursaries will provide monthly funding of €1,350. Additional lump sum payments of 100 euros are also available to fund research expenses, as well as additional health care subsidies.
This initiative is supported by funds from the Federal Foreign Office (Auswartiges Amt). The utmost duration of the scholarship is determined by the average length of your studies (Regelstudienzeit). The recipient of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation scholarships receives the following benefits:
For master’s degree students, the monthly base scholarship consists of 850 euros plus a lump sum of 20 euros. Additional health and nursing insurance subsidies of up to 86 euros are also available.

Eligibility of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation scholarships
To be eligible for the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation scholarships, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Required Language Proficiency in English. German language ability (at least B2 level)
- All countries in the world are eligible. Preference is given to women, students from non-academic and migrant backgrounds, the socially disadvantaged, and individuals with disabilities who have demonstrated excellence and dedication. Undergraduate and doctoral candidates in scientific and technical disciplines, as well as graduates of technical colleges, are strongly encouraged to apply.
