Helmut Veith Scholarship In Austria (Fully Funded)

The application for the Helmut Veith Scholarship in Austria in 2023 is invited. An overseas student can earn a master’s degree with the Austria Computer science scholarship 2023. The Helmut Veith Scholarship honors a distinguished computer scientist who contributed to the disciplines of computer logic, computer-assisted verification, software engineering, and computer security.

The fellowship is intended to encourage bright students from around the world who are interested in enrolling in one of the English-taught master’s programs in Computer Science at Tu Wien.

The Austria Helmut Veith Scholarship offers a number of academic fields. The scholarship in Austria provides full tuition for a master’s degree as well as 6,000 EUR each year for up to two years.

The Helmut Veith Stipend is awarded annually to exceptionally talented and motivated female computer science students who are pursuing (or plan to pursue) one of the master’s programs in Computer Science at TU Wien taught in English and have (or wish to develop) a solid mathematical and technical background in at least one of the fields in which Austrian scientist Helmut Veith worked.

Eligibility Of the Helmut Veith Scholarship

Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the Helmut Veith Computer Science Scholarship for International Students:

Applicants must be eligible for admission to one of Tu Wien’s English-taught master’s programs in computer science for the 2023/24 session.

Applicants must be female students who have been admitted to study at Tu Wien.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, or a degree that is comparable.

Applicants must have extensive expertise and an interest in at least one of Helmut Veith’s research areas, including computer logic; Formal methods and verification; Foundations of Artificial Intelligence; Complexity theory; Informatic security; and English proficiency.

Students granted the Helmut Veith Stipend receive the following:

  • 6000 EUR per year for a maximum of two years.
  • Waiver of all TU Wien tuition fees.

Cover letter that details the sort of funding for which the student is applying and all other factors that the student believes important to enrolment.

Motivation letter describing why the student wishes to study in the Logic and Computing program, why financing is required, and with which academic groups the student would be interested in collaborating on the master’s thesis and why.

Reports on college exams (school transcripts). Curriculum vitae. First degree, bachelor’s degree, or further diplomas and/or certifications.

All applicants are required to provide the following materials:

  • Motivation Letter, which outlines why the student intends to study in the Logic and Computation program, why financial support is required, and with which faculty groups the student is interested in working on their master’s thesis.

  • Degrees, certificates, or diplomas (first degree, bachelor degree, or higher).
  • Contact information for two references (for letters of recommendation)
  • English language diploma (TOEFL or similar)

How To Apply For The Scholarship

Non-German or English-language documents must be accompanied by a certified translation. Your application must be submitted electronically to ta.sc-cigol@retsam as a single PDF file with the subject “Application” The filename of the PDF must be “document.pdf.”
