Applying for the Heisman High School Scholarship presented by Acceptance Insurance is your chance to earn a scholarship toward college, as well as local, state, and national recognition for all that you’ve put into your high school career. If you’ve maintained at least a B average, participate in at least one eligible sport, are a leader in your community and role model at your school, then you’ve got what it takes.
For more than two decades, Wendy’s has recognized young men and women who believe that good enough is never really good enough. With each year, the new Heisman class continues to build on the legacy of those who have come before.
This year, exceptional high school senior student-athletes can earn scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 from the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship program.
Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship Worth
The scholarship award comes at different levels Well, $500 will be awarded to one senior male and one senior female from each state. However, the 88 state winners who do not move on to the national level will still receive a $500 award.
At the national level, the 12 nationalist finalists will receive $1000 as a scholarship award. Also, all national finalists who are not announced as national winners will get an award scholarship worth $5000.
Who is Eligible for Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship?
The Heisman Scholarship makes it very clear that your eligibility starts with your ability to maintain a certain GPA. Also, it states that to be eligible you must be a proven leader and a role model in your school and community. Hence, this scholarship is for those with a strong academic background and strong character values.
